'Crony-Jeevi Hai Jo...': Rahul Gandhi Attacks PM Modi For His 'Andolan Jeevi' Jibe

Taking to his official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon, the congress leader attacked the Modi-led central government over the privatisation of public sector undertakings (PSUs) and public sector banks (PSBs).

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing his NDA Government for allegedly selling stake in PSUs. Taking to his official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon, the congress leader attacked the Modi-led central government over the privatisation of public sector undertakings (PSUs) and public sector banks (PSBs).

Giving reference of PM Modi's Andaloan Jeevi jibe during his Rajya Sabha speech, Rahul Gandhi in a Twitter post said, "Crony-Jeevi Hai Jo Desh Bech Raha Hai Vo."

His remarks came two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech in the parliament on Monday said  a new community ‘Andolan jeevi’ (one who thrives on protests) has come up in the country, adding they can be spotted everywhere and are parasites for India.

“We are well aware of terms like ‘buddhi jeevi’ and shram jeevi’ but I am seeing from some time that a new community ‘Andolan jeevi’ has come up in the country. This community can be spotted wherever there is a protest, be it the agitation by lawyers, students or labourers. They can sometimes be seen at the forefront and sometimes behind,” Prime Minister Modi told the Rajya Sabha.

The PM in his speech slammed the mushrooming of a new crop of 'andolan jeevi' -- who he said only live for protests and look for ways to start a new one.
