PM Modi's Birthday: Know Why Seva Saptah Is Being Observed Across Country By BJP

Sewa Saptah, PM Modi's Birthday Celebrations: To celebrate Prime Minister Modi's 70th birthday, BJP is observing Seva Saptah from September 14th to 21st.

New Delhi: It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday on Thursday and to mark the occasion the BJP Chief JP Nadda had earlier launched the 'Seva Saptah', a week-long party campaign in which party workers will engage in social service activities. The campaign was kicked off by Nadda, at Chhaprauli village in western Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. According to him, this is being done since Seva was an important part of Modi's life. The theme of the campaign which started on September 14 is 70, i.e. all social welfare activities revolve around the number 70 to celebrate PM's birthday. The party had also sent circulars to all state chiefs with the list of activities that have to be undertaken under seva saptah.   • donating plasma to 70 Covid-19 patients in accordance with hospital needs. BJP MLA Bharath Shetty who was the first MLA in the state to contract the infection donated his plasma.
  • Cleanliness drive in 70 villages of every district
  • planting 70 saplings in every booth and a pledge to get rid of single-use plastic
  • distributing artificial limbs and other equipment to 70 differently-abled persons in every district
  • spectacles will also be distributed to 70 people in every district
  • 70 virtual rallies will also be held
  • Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha led by Poonam Mahajan, is also organising at least 70 blood donation camps in big states and at least one donation camp in every district
  • 70 virtual conferences on 'Life and Mission' of the Prime Minister will also be held
The seva saptah will continue till September 20. On his birthday the Prime Minister received wishes from leaders around the world including Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
