Ujjain Horror: The house of the Ujjain rape accused will be bulldozed tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct 4), Superintendent of Police (SP) Sachin Sharma said, days after the video of the minor victim, bleeding and semi-naked, going door-to-door for held surfaced online. There have been many doubts regarding the action but now SP Sachin Sharma has said that no action is going to be taken on Tuesday, and his house will be demolished on Wednesday. On the other hand, police sources also say that no big property of the accused has come to their notice so far.
On the morning of September 25, a 12-year-old girl from Satna was raped by an auto driver named Bharat Soni. The accused has been arrested. The police have not yet found any information about any legitimate and big property of Bharat Soni. The police have also found that Bharat's family is very poor and his father also drives an auto while his brother runs a small shop.
Meanwhile, some people also raised the demand of running a bulldozer on the house of accused Bharat Soni. As per the information received from the sources of the police department, the family members of the accused live in a sheet hut built on the roadside in the Nanakheda area.
His father, speaking to reporters in Ujjain, expressed his condemnation of the heinous act. "It is a shameful act. Neither have I gone to the hospital to meet him, nor will I go to the police station or courts. My son has committed a crime, therefore he should be hanged," he stated, as quoted by news agency PTI.
Meanwhile, Ashok Yadav, President of the Ujjain Bar Council, conveyed that the incident had severely tarnished the reputation of the temple city. He urged their members not to take up the case of the accused.
