Time Capsule To Be Placed 2,000 Ft Under Ram Temple; Know What Is It & Why Is It Installed

Known as 'Kaal Patra', the time capsule will contain a copper sheet holding all information about the Ram temple and its history.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir - Time Capsule: After the age-old conflict around Ram Temple in Ayodhya got resolved with the historic judgment delivered by Supreme Court, now a time capsule will be placed beneath the temple being constructed to ensure no such conflict ever gain ground. Ram temple has caused an uproar over decades now but finally, the temple will be constructed in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. In order to avoid any controversy over Ram temple, a time capsule will be kept 2,000 feet below the temple. The disputed land has been granted to the Hindus for the construction of the temple while the Sunni Central Waqf Board has been given 5 acres. After the Supreme Court verdict, a trust was set up to supervise and facilitate the construction of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya. As the proposal also came to increase the height of the temple, the construction is expected to be complete in three to 3.5 years. What is a time capsule and how does it work? In order to preserve the history around the origin of the Ram temple, a time capsule will be placed below the temple. It is basically a type of container specially designed from a material that can stand the test of time. In this case a copperplate will be inserted inside this capsule where the history of the Ram temple along with a map of the temple will be inscribed in Hindi and Sanskrit. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the sacred ceremony of ‘bhumi pujan’ for the sanctum sanctorum of the proposed Ram Janmabhoomi temple to be held on August 5. In Hindi, it is known as 'Kaal Patra' in Hindi. Those who remained associated with the Ram temple movement believe the long-drawn battle over the history of Ram Janmabhoomi went through sessions court to Supreme Court to finally arrive at a solution. The time capsule will ensure that such a situation does not arise in the future". Globally, this type of installation is quite common but it will be a second such installation in the country after 1973. Kameshwar Chaupal, a member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the time capsule will contain the history of the temple and work as a testimony that the land belongs to Ram temple for the future.
