'Security For Pakistanis, Bullets For Our Farmers': Kejriwal Slams Centre After Refugees Protest Near His Home

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal came down heavily on the Centre over Pakistani immigrants protesting outside his residence.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal trained guns on the Centre on Thursday after Hindu immigrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan staged a protest outside his residence for his criticism of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. Kejriwal has been consistently opposing the implementation of the law which would grant Indian citizenship to persecute non-Muslims minorities — Hindu, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Reacting to a report by ABP News on the protest held outside his residence, Kejriwal said that the Pakistanis were being allowed to protest outside his residence with police protection but the protesting farmers are not being let into the national capital.

"Pakistanis are allowed to protest outside my house with full police protection and respect but farmers of this country are not even allowed to come to Delhi," he said, asking, "Tear gas shells, sticks, rods and bullets on Indian farmers while so much respect for Pakistanis."

Earlier in the day Kejriwal held a press conference against the CAA saying that the law would trigger migration on a scale larger that what took place during the time of partition.

He also maintained his stance that the implementation of CAA will make country unsafe and create law-and-order situation saying "spending taxpayers' money on minorities from other countries not acceptable."

Earlier this week as well, Kejriwal held a press conference where he said that the government wants to "settle Pakistanis in our rightful houses". "The money of the Government of India that should be used for the development of our families and the country will be used for the settlement of Pakistanis," he added.
