Sitapur DM orders government employees to take selfies in front of their toilets; warn of stalling salaries

The order also seeks the employees to submit a certificate proof of their respective toilets.

Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh: On the occasion of completion of 4 years of Modi government Sitapur District Magistrate decide to take PM Modi’s Swacch Bharat mission to the another level, via an interesting order. Sitapur DM issued an order to all government employees and asked them to submit a picture of them posing in front of toilet at their home. The order also seeks the employees to submit a certificate proof of their respective toilets. The order has come with a warning which states that “Salary for May month may be stalled if you failed to obey”. Though done with a good intent to ensure that every household has a toilet built, but taking a posing selfie in front of the toilets has made the order one-of-a-kind.
