Shiv Sena Shinde Faction Submits Three Party Symbol Options To ECI — Check Details
'Shining sun', 'Shield & sword' and 'Peepul tree' are among the options the Shinde faction has proposed to the ECI.
Three days after the Thackeray and Shinde camps were prohibited from using the party name and its election symbol (bow and arrow), the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Tuesday presented three party symbol choices to the Election Commission of India, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier, the Election Commission did not accept the three suggestions sent by the Eknath Shinde faction regarding its poll symbol. However, as per the EC interim order, the name of the party led by Eknath Shinde will be "BalasahebAanchi Shiv Sena."
In the next Andheri East Assembly byelection, the election commission has prohibited the Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions from using the party name and election symbol.
Before the Bow and Arrow emblem was filed on October 1, 1989, Sena had used emblems including the coconut tree, railroad locomotive, sword and shield, mashaal, cup and saucer, and more.
On Sunday, the Shiv Sena camp under Uddhav Thackeray submitted its three choices for the election emblem to the Election Commission (EC). The Uddhav Thackeray party is looking at choices including Trishul, Rising Sun, and Mashaal.
Both factions have also been requested to submit three name suggestions for their groupings by the Election Commission.
The bypoll to the Andheri East Assembly seat in suburban Mumbai is expected to be a straight fight between late Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke's wife Rujuta Latke and BJP's Murji Patel, a corporator in the Mumbai civic body.
