Reason to cheer: BJP wins 3 MLC seats in UP

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reason to cheer on the day when the voting for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Assembly election taking place, on Saturday. The BJP has won all three MLC seats in UP's Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Bareilly. The three seats won by BJP are graduate MLC seats. The BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expecting to come to power in the Uttar Pradesh which is being presently ruled by Samajwadi Party (SP) under the leadership of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The SP and congress have, however, joined hands to keep the BJP out of power.
