Ram Temple Inauguration: Bengal Guv Urges People Of His State To Ensure Peace And Unity On Jan 22

West Bengal governor C.V Ananda Bose asked everyone to exercise tolerance and disregard false information.

New Delhi: Hailing the Pran Prantishtha ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on January 22 as a "momentous event", West bengal governor CV Ananda Bose appealed to the people of the state to ensure peace and unity during the event and make sure this moment becomes a joyous and harmonious occasion. In addition, he asked everyone to exercise tolerance and disregard false information.

In an official communication from the Raj Bhavan, Governor Bose said, "On 22nd January 2024, the nation will stand witness to signature events that are intricately linked to its ethos. Seminal events shall also take place in West Bengal. On this special day when we redefine the essence of our nationhood through strong linkages to its great heritage and culture, let us resolve once again to share the glory and greatness of our Motherland."

"I appeal to my brothers and sisters of Bengal to make the occasion one of sweetness and light through peace and harmony. Friends, I urge upon everyone to be tolerant and do not fall prey to disinformation. The law is on your side. It is time people rise in unison to promote social integration," the governor added, reported news agency PTI.

Bose further said, "Our roots are definitely what Mahatma Gandhi said, 'Ram Rajya' and what 'Ram Rajya' means--the democratic ethos Gandhi ji himself has defined. Therefore, India, through this event, is rising from its sleep like a giant. Anything that unites the people of India, anything that makes India feel proud of its cultural heritage, is certainly an inspiration for the nation."

West bengal governor CV Ananda Bose also said that the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya is a proud moment for India.

Meanwhile, there will be around 35 rallies in Kolkata on Monday, including the "Sampriti Rally" organised by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).
