PM Narendra Modi hell bent on destroying Delhi through LG: Arvind Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: In an order bound to further escalate the bitter turf war in Delhi between the Centre and the Aam Aadmi Party government, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday ordered the transfer of senior officials in various departments of the Delhi government. Jung ordered the transfers of three secretaries, following the Delhi high court order that said that the LG was the administrative head of Delhi. Reacting to the transfer of officials, Delhi chief minister with Kejriwal, who is locked in power-tussle with LG, said that PM Modi is hell bent on destroying Delhi through Najeeb Jung. “Today, several officers transferred by LG directly. Files not even shown to CM or any minister. Is this Modi model of democracy?” Kejriwal tweeted. "Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had specially requested the Lieutenant Governor not to transfer the Health and Public Works Department (PWD) Secretaries till 31st march but he didn't listen," Kejriwal said. The AAP government and LG Najeeb Jung, who represents the Centre, are locked in a fight over several issues in Delhi.
