PM Modi To Attend BJP Meeting At BJP Headquarters At 7 PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address BJP party workers at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in the national capital on Monday evening, as the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) records a strong performance in the Assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry.
BJP National President Nitin Nabin reached the party headquarters earlier in the day and was welcomed by a large gathering of workers and supporters celebrating the alliance's poll performance. BJP chief spokesperson Anil Baluni had earlier said on X that Modi would visit the party headquarters at 6 PM.
BJP Eyes Major Gains In West Bengal
The Prime Minister's address comes as the BJP is on course to emerge as the single-largest party in the West Bengal Assembly, crossing the halfway mark of 148 seats.
The BJP has won 48 seats and is leading in 156 constituencies, taking its tally to 204. The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), led by Mamata Banerjee, has secured 21 seats and is ahead in 62 constituencies, taking its tally to 83.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the BJP recorded high-margin victories in Medinipur and Asansol Dakshin. In Medinipur, Sankar Kumar Guchhait secured 1,33,041 votes with a margin of 38,747, while Agnimitra Paul won Asansol Dakshin with 1,19,582 votes and a margin of 40,839.
Earlier, BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari expressed confidence that the party would form the government with more than 180 seats.
Taking a swipe at the TMC's performance, Adhikari said, “Rone dijiye. Khatam, poora khatam.” He also claimed consolidation of Hindu votes in favour of the BJP, while acknowledging that the TMC retained influence in Malda, Murshidabad and North Dinajpur, where the Congress remained competitive.
BJP Maintains Lead In Assam
In Assam, the BJP has won 62 seats and is leading in 20 constituencies.
The result marks the BJP's continued dominance in the state under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, with the party improving its performance compared to the 2021 Assembly polls.
NDA Set To Return To Power In Puducherry
In Puducherry, Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy won the Thattanchavady Assembly seat by a margin of over 4,000 votes, according to ECI trends.
The NDA is set to return to power in the Union Territory, having won nine of the 11 seats in the 30-member Assembly.
BJP Wins Three Seats In Kerala
In Kerala, the BJP has won three Assembly constituencies — Nemom, Kazhakoottam and Chathannoor — according to ECI data.
Against this backdrop of gains across multiple states and the Union Territory, Prime Minister Modi is expected to address BJP office-bearers and workers at the party headquarters on Monday evening.
