PM Modi To Visit Jharkhand, West Bengal And Bihar From March 1, To Launch Multiple Projects

PM Modi is set to visit Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar on March 1 and 2 to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar on March 1 and 2. During his visit, he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects in these states.

According to a government press release, on March 1, at around 11 AM, PM Modi will reach Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand and take part in a public programme where he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore in Jharkhand.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will participate in a public programme at around 3 PM where he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, and West Bengal, the release said.

On March 2, at around 10:30 AM, the Prime Minister will reach Krishnanagar, Nadia district, West Bengal, where he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 15,000 crore.

The press release further stated that at 2:30 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 21,400 crore in Aurangabad, Bihar. At 5:15 PM, the Prime Minister will reach Begusarai, Bihar, where he will participate in a public programme and inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple oil and gas sector projects worth about Rs 1.48 lakh crore across the country, and several development projects in Bihar worth more than Rs 13,400.

PM Modi In Jharkhand

During his visit to Jharkhand, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple developmental projects related to the fertiliser, rail, power, and coal sectors in Sindri, Dhanbad. He will dedicate to the nation the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant.

According to the statement, the fertiliser plant is developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore. It is a step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector. It will add about 12.7 LMT per annum indigenous urea production in the country benefiting the farmers of the country.

This is the third fertiliser plant to be revived in the country, after the revival of fertiliser plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam, which were also dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister in December 2021 and November 2022 respectively, the statement further informed. 

The Prime Minister will also be inaugurating several rail projects worth more than Rs 17,600 crore in Jharkhand. The projects include 3rd & 4th Line connecting Sone Nagar-Andal; Tori- Shivpur first & second and Biratoli- Shivpur third railway line (part of Tori- Shivpur Project); Mohanpur – Hansdiha new rail line; Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line, among others, as per the statement.
