PM Modi Holds Mega Roadshow In Gujarat For Second Consecutive Day

This was Prime Minister Modi’s second such event in Gujarat in two days.

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently in his home state of Gujarat, held a roadshow in Gandhinagar on Saturday.

This was Prime Minister Modi’s second such event in Gujarat in two days.

The Prime Minister waved to the people standing in large numbers on both sides of the road during the roadshow, which was conducted between Dehgam town in Gandhinagar district and the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) at Lavad village, PTI reported.

Prime Minister had prior to the roadshow left Gandhinagar’s Raj Bhavan in a car and shifted to an open jeep on reaching Dehgam.

He was accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the open jeep.

The people, who thronged along the 12-km route of the roadshow in large numbers to greet the Prime Minister, welcomed him with garlands and flower petals.

The roadshow ended when the vehicle reached the RRU where the Prime Minister will address the first convocation event.

Later this evening, he is scheduled to inaugurate Khel Mahakumbh - a sporting event.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Modi held a roadshow from the Ahmedabad airport to Kamalam - the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar.

These roadshows are being seen as Prime Minister Modi kick-starting the campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the Gujarat Assembly polls scheduled in December this year.

The BJP is facing the task of retaining power in the state.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Gujarat came a day after the BJP registered a splendid victory in the assembly elections in four states, including politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.
