Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi Remembers Mumbai Terror Attacks, Says Country Can Never Forget This Day

107th Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the horrific Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.

Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation in the 107th edition of his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat'. The day happens to be the 15th anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks as well. Recalling the terrifying assault on India, the PM said that the country can never forget this day when people faced the most heinous terror attack.

"We can never forget this day when India faced its most heinous terror attack," the PM said. "...We can never forget November 26... It was today that a heinous attack took place on our country... I pay my tribute to all the people who lost their lives in the Mumbai attack..." he added.

The PM also spoke on the importance of the day (Nov 26) which is observed as Constitution Day. "This day, November 26 is extremely significant on one more account. It was on this very day in 1949 that the Constituent Assembly had passed and adopted the Constitution of India," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister further added that just as the success of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' is becoming an inspiration, the success of 'Vocal For Local' is opening the doors to a developed and prosperous India.

Speaking over nation-building, the PM said nothing can stop the country from moving forward when the public takes part in national building. "...Today, in India, the people of India are leading many changes in the nation..." he said.

The PM added that one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century is 'Water Security' and that conserving water is no less than "saving life."
