New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams during his Uttarakhand visit on Thursday and he also laid the groundwork for projects worth more than Rs 3,400 crore. PM Modi performed darshan and puja at the revered Hindu temples.

The infrastructural development is being done to strengthen connectivity and religious tourism in the state and its adjoining areas. An ATV vehicle has been transported from the Air Force's heavy cargo carrier Chinook helicopter to Kedarnath Dham. This is the same vehicle in which the Prime Minister will visit Kedarpuri.

Ahead of PM Modi's visit to Kedarnath and Badrinath, both holy sites were decorated with many quintals of flowers while security arrangements were also tightened in the area, as reported by news agency PTI.
