Parliament Winter Session Live: Hello and welcome to the Parliament Winter Session Live blog, please follow this space for all the latest news and updates on the Winter Session of the Parliament which began on December 4. Last week, the Parliament was rocked after two men broke into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour in a security breach and released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans, before being overpowered by the MPs.
Following the incident, six people were arrested by the Delhi Police namely, Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Devi, Lalit Jha and Mahesh Kumawat for their alleged involvement in the security breach.
Among the arrested, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D had jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber and released the yellow smoke while around the same time, two others, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi released coloured smoke from cannisters as they shouted "tanashahi nahi chalegi" outside the Parliament premises.
On Sunday, the Delhi Police ramped up its probe into the matter as its teams recorded the statements of family members of the accused and claimed have recovered fragments of some broken and burnt mobile phones from Rajasthan's Nagaur, according to a PTI report.
The police teams searched the houses of the accused and recorded the statements of their family members, reported PTI quoting its sources as saying.
The accused have been booked under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act while more sections of the Indian Penal Code were added by the Delhi Police against the accused in its FIR registered on December 13.
During the probe, the police found that the accused Sagar and Manoranjan, had come early in the morning to get the front row in the visitors' gallery of Parliament on December 13.
The Winter Session of the Parliament began on December 4 and will run till December 22 with 15 scheduled sittings spread over 19 days.
