Mumbai: Girl lays flat under moving train, survives accident

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a girl miraculously survived after coming under a moving train on Tuesday in Kurla, Mumbai. According to reports, the incident took place when the girl attempted to cross the railway platforms, walking on the tracks instead of the stair bridge. While crossing the platform she was wired in with her headphones and was on a call which prevented her from hearing the train’s horn. The whole incident was caught on the CCTV camera placed at the railway station. In the video, a woman can be seeing running towards the girl, making an attempt to save her; but was later stopped by people present at the spot, for everyone was sure that the girl can't be saved. 5 It can be noticed that she tried to escape death but her efforts were futile as it was too late to act. Initially, she ran towards the platform but when she realised that she can’t climb it, she started running towards the opposite side. In an exasperating effort to save her, the driver applied emergency brakes but till then engine and the first bogie ran over her. As the train halted, people were shocked to see that the girl survived such a horrifying accident, and that she was lying between the tracks with minor injuries on her eyes. “While crossing the platform she was talking on the phone and her concentration was not on the tracks.  After the accident, she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.” Ashok Burade, Inspector, GRP, Kurla told ABP News. The incident comes as a lesson for people who try to pull these kind of stunts and don't prioritise safety, for it is important to learn that miracles don’t happen every day.
