Modi government's Pakistan policy confused: Congress

New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday dubbed the government's policy on Pakistan as "confused" and said it was speaking in different voices over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Islamabad. "In the past 24 hours, there has been a lot of news whether Modi ji will visit Pakistan or not. Now the confusion is that the Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan Gautam Bambawale says Modi ji is eager to arrive in November while (External Affairs Ministry spokesman) Vikas Swarup says no programme has been decided so early," Congress spokesperson Ajoy Kumar told reporters here. "The main reason behind no final preparation of Prime Minister's programme is due to the recent visit of Home Minister Rajnath Singh (to Pakistan), which was an embarassment as he was neither properly received not given good treatment there," the Congress leader said. Taking a dig at Modi, Kumar said: "Their Pakistan policy in reality is zero policy. In the morning, after waking up, Modi ji decides what Pakistan policy will be followed today."
