PM Modi On Mann Ki Baat: Pahalgam Attack Desperate Attempt To Derail Peace In Kashmir – TOP QUOTES

In the 121st episode of Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi called the Pahalgam attack a cruel bid to derail Kashmir's peace, saying, “Every citizen is heartbroken and seething with anger.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 121st episode of Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, called the terror attack an attempt to disrupt the peace in Kashmir.

"Today, as I talk my heart out with you, there is a deep agony in my heart. The Pahalgam terrorist attack of 22 April has left every citizen heartbroken. Everybody feels deep sympathy for the families of the victims... I understand every citizen is seething with anger after seeing the images of the terrorist attack," he said.

"This attack in Pahalgam reflects the frustration of those who patronise terrorism.... At a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, enemies of the nation and J&K did not like it. Terrorists and their masters want Kashmir to be destroyed once again. That is why such a big conspiracy was hatched. In this war against terrorism, the unity of the nation is our biggest strength... We must strengthen our resolve to face this challenge,” Modi added.

He spoke about how global leaders have called, written letters, and sent messages following the attack. “Everyone has strongly condemned this heinous terrorist attack... The entire world stands with the 1.4 billion Indians in our fight against terrorism. Once again, I assure the victims' families that they will get justice. The conspirators and perpetrators of this attack will face the harshest response."

He said this year that on June 5, on World Environment Day, over 1.4 billion trees have been planted across the country.

"The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign is dedicated to the mother who gave birth to us and Mother Earth. On 5 June, this campaign will complete one year on the occasion of World Environment Day. In this one year, over 1.4 billion trees have been planted across the country. Looking at India's initiative, people abroad have also planted trees in the name of their mothers. You should also join this campaign."

He spoke about the SACHET app, which can help people from getting caught in a natural disaster. This app was developed by India's National Disaster Management Authority, he said. “The 'SACHET' app aims to keep you informed and protected in every way possible. Through this app, you can get updates from the meteorological department. This app also provides information in many regional languages."

He spoke about how India successfully sent vaccines to Afghanistan to fight diseases like rabies, tetanus, hepatitis, and influenza B.

“Just a few days ago, India sent a large amount of vaccines to Afghanistan to fight against dangerous diseases like rabies, tetanus, hepatitis, and influenza B. On Nepal's request, India sent a large consignment of vaccines to the country to ensure better treatment for patients suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell disease."
