Chouhan has donned a new avatar since his resignation. First his unexpected sportsmanship at Kamal Nath’s swearing-in ceremony and now this Bollywood-inspired dialogue to make his presence known.
New Delhi: Exuding sheer confidence despite facing defeat, former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan made sure his supporters should know that he still has his skin in the game. Taking a cue from Salman Khan starrer Bollywood movie, Shivraj said: “Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai” (Tiger is still alive), to assure his voters that he was with the people and was working for them.
Chouhan has donned a new avatar since his resignation. First his unexpected sportsmanship at Kamal Nath’s swearing-in ceremony and now this Bollywood-inspired dialogue to make his presence known.
Chouhan who is known for his witty remarks in his speeches was addressing people in his home-turf Budhni on Wednesday when he said: “No one needs to worry that what will happen to them. I am still here. Tiger abhi zinda hai (the tiger is alive)," he said.
Shivraj has previously made a Bollywood reference during elections as well while attacking the Congress. He slammed Rahul Gandhi using the lines: “Tum to thehre pardesi saath kya nibhaoge.”
Shivraj has been the Chief Minister of the state for three terms. Although he could not prevent BJP drubbing in the state, he however managed to give a tough-fight to the Congress, despite the strong anti-incumbency factor in the state.
