Delhi Elections: Alka Lamba Files Nomination From Kalkaji Seat
Lamba will take on Delhi CM and AAP candidate Atishi and BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri in the seat. Atishi also filed her nomination today.
Delhi Elections: Congress leader Alka Lamba filed her nomination for the February 5 Delhi elections from the Kalkaji seat on Tuesday. The president of the All India Mahila Congress is a former Aam Aadmi Party leader and an ex-legislator from Chandni Chowk.
Lamba returned to the Congress in 2019 after resigning from AAP, citing disrespect within the party. After she was fielded on the seat, Lamba launched a sharp attack on Atishi. She had said, "Arvind Kejriwal insulted Chief Minister Atishi by calling her a 'temporary CM.' The moment she was labelled as such, the contest ended. Her journey is only a month long."
