New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming General Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Congress party, calling it 'sultan of tukde tukde gang', during a public rally in Karnataka's Mysuru on Sunday. PM Modi further alleged that the Congress party wants to weaken the country, adding the latter's hate towards the nation has crossed the limit.
While addressing a public rally, PM Modi said, "Congress party has become the sultan of tukde tukde gang. Their hate towards the country has crossed the limit. Congress wants to weaken the country. The Congress party's dangerous intentions are still the same. They have not changed. They are playing with fire to assume power", reported ANI.

The Prime Minister remarked, "Nowadays Congress hesitates to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai in election rallies. Earlier, they opposed Vande Mataram, now Congress avoids saying Bharat Mata ki Jai. This will lead to the end of Congress".
PM Modi sharpen his criticism of the grand old party, saying, "The Congress asks for proof from the Army about the surgical strikes. They (Congress) are working with the political wing of the banned organisation that is involved in terror activities. Game of appeasement is rampant in Karnataka."

PM Modi accused the Congress of disrespecting Hinduism and attempting to undermine the country's cultural heritage. He further condemned what he described as the Congress's indulgence in appeasement politics, particularly in Karnataka, where he claimed the party rewards individuals critical of the nation with election tickets. PM Modi emphasised the significance of the 2024 elections, asserting that they would shape India's trajectory not only for the next five years but also until 2047.
PM Holds Roadshow In Karnataka's Mangaluru
PM Modi led a grand roadshow in Karnataka's coastal city Mangaluru, drawing a huge crowd that lined the streets and buildings. From a specially designed vehicle, he waved to the cheering supporters, who greeted him with chants of 'Modi, Modi' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. Flower petals were showered as his convoy traversed from Narayana Guru circle to Nava Bharat circle in Dakshina Kannada district, a stronghold of the BJP.
Accompanying him were Dakshina Kannada BJP Lok Sabha candidate Captain Brijesh Chowta and Udupi-Chikmagalur seat nominee Kota Srinivas Poojary.

The event witnessed the presence of Janata Dal (Secular) supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, BJP senior leader BS Yediyurappa, Karnataka LoP R Ashoka, and state president BY Vijayendra, highlighting the unity among BJP and its ally JD(S) in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
This rally marked PM Modi's inaugural campaign ahead of polling for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in 14 constituencies of Karnataka, scheduled for April 26. Karnataka is set to vote in two phases, with the 14 Lok Sabha segments in the southern region casting their ballots on April 26 in the second phase, while the remaining 14 constituencies in the northern parts will vote on May 7 in the third phase.
