The five MPs removed include LJP chief Chirag Paswan’s uncle Paras, who was on Monday unanimously elected as the party’s parliamentary leader in the Lok Sabha.
New Delhi: In a new political development post the infighting, the national executive committee of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Tuesday unanimously decided to remove the MPs, who conveyed their decision of electing Pashupati Kumar Paras as the party’s leader in Lok Sabha to Speaker Om Birla, with immediate effect.
The five MPs removed include LJP chief Chirag Paswan’s uncle Paras, who was on Monday unanimously elected as the party’s parliamentary leader in the Lok Sabha.
Four other MPs, including Chandan Singh, Prince Raj, Beena Devi and Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser, who had extended their support to Paras have also been removed.
Paras, who represents the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat in Bihar, was earlier on Monday unanimously elected as the LJP parliamentary leader in the Lok Sabha.
Commenting on the political development in the LJP, Paras said that the step has been taken to save the party, adding Chirag can continue to be a part of it.
