'Tejasvi Surya Gundagardi Karte Hain': Kangana Ranaut's Viral Gaffe During Lok Sabha Campaign — WATCH

Kangana Ranaut Viral Video: Mandi candidate Kangana Ranaut confused BJP leader Tejasvi Surya with former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav while speaking at an event amid Lok Sabha election campaigning.

Kangana Ranaut Viral Video: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and actor Kangana Ranaut made a gaffe while speaking at an event during the Lok Sabha election campaign, where she confused her colleague in the saffron party, Tejasvi Surya, with former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. During the event, while intending to attack Yadav, the 'queen' actor said that Tejasvi Surya does hooliganism and eats fish. Tejasvi Surya is the leader of the saffron party and an MP from Bangalore South.

Attacking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, Ranaut, who is BJP's candidate from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh, said, "Inko khud nahi pata ye kahaan aa rahe aur jaa rahe hain, is tarah ke bigde hue shehzaadon ki ek party hai. Chahe wo Rahul Gandhi hon jinhe chaand pe aloo ugaane hon ya Tejasvi Surya hon jo apni gundagardi karte hain macchli uchal uchal ke khaate hain" ("They themselves don't know where they are coming from or where they are going, it's like a party of spoiled princes. Whether it's Rahul Gandhi who wants to grow potatoes on the moon or Tejasvi Surya who indulges in hooliganism and eats fish with enthusiasm).

The original clip of this speech was shared by news agency IANS.

Kangana Ranaut was referring to a video shared by Yadav on social media in which he was seen eating fish in a helicopter. The video sparked controversy since several users claimed that he was consuming non-vegetarian food during the festival of Navratri. During this Hindu festival, devotees fast and follow a strict vegetarian diet.

However, after facing backlash over the video, the former Deputy chief minister responded and issued a clarification for the video. Pointing out that his post was from April 8, a day before the Navratri began, Yadav had stated that the video had been uploaded to test the IQ of the BJP and the Godi media followers. "We were proved right in our thinking," he added.

Meanwhile, BJP Himachal Pradesh chief Rajiv Bindal said on Saturday that Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur would file his nomination from Hamirpur constituency on May 13 for the last phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the media in Shimla, Bindal said that actor Kangana Ranaut would file her nomination on May 14 from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency and former BJP state president Suresh Kashyap would submit his papers from Shimla constituency on May 13. The BJP Lok Sabha candidate from the Kangra seat Rajeev Bhardwaj would file his nomination on May 10.
