JP Nadda Fires Fresh Salvo At Mamata Banerjee, Alleges Bengal Witnessing 'Dictatorship' Under TMC's Rule

“Bengal, which was known for its culture, development and for showing direction to the country, has been exploited through corruption by Mamata ji's government. So, the BJP decided to start the ‘Poribortan Yatra' to bring in the real change," JP Nadda said.

Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Tuesday fired a fresh salvo at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said there is dictatorship in the state as the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo suppresses opposition in her yearning to remain in power. Shah, who was addressing an election rally in Birbhum, also highlighted what he called the deteriorating law and order situation in the state to justify his point.

“Around 130 BJP workers have been martyred. What kind of law and order situation is this? If we talk about the women safety then human trafficking and acid attack cases are registered most in Bengal,” he said.

They will show you the door and bring in the government that works for the people of Bengal. pic.twitter.com/BWY74XL0ot
— BJP LIVE (@BJPLive) February 9, 2021

Nadda claimed the BJP’s ‘Poribortan Yatra’ is aimed at bringing about a real change in West Bengal.

“Bengal, which was known for its culture, development and for showing direction to the country, has been exploited through corruption by Mamata ji's government. So, the BJP decided to start the ‘Poribortan Yatra' to bring in the real change. ‘Poribortan Yatra’ is a move against Mamata’s rule. Bengal wants change,” he said.

The BJP chief, who also offered prayers at Tarapith temple in Birbhum, used the platform to laud Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Modi ji has done justice to the people while Mamata disillusioned them. She talks about Maa, Maati Maanush. Maa wasn't respected, Maati wasn't protected and nothing was done for Maanush,” Nadda said.

Suvendu Adhikari understood that there's no care for 'Maa', 'Maati' or 'Manush'.

He knows that PM Modi and his govt is dedicatedly working towards the welfare and protection of all three. “On one hand, there is Modi ji who is determined to develop Bengal, be it East-West Metro, roads, pension for 21 lakh people or DBT scheme, everything has been done. While Mamata ji hinders all developmental activities in the state,” he added.

Earlier last week, the BJP president flagged off the ‘Poribortan Yatra’ from Nabadwip in Nadia district.
