J&K: Family Of Missing Youth In Kulgam District Appeals Him To Return; Seeks Help From Public, Police

Various reports suggest that thousands of such youth are currently missing in the valley. Some are even said to have joined militancy.

Srinagar: In Kulgam district of South Kashmir, the family of the missing youth has appealed to their son and begged him to return home. Speaking to ABP News, the family of the missing youth named Umis Ahmad Wani of Chawalgam in Kulgam said that they have released statements and videos where they have appealed for him to return back home. The family has also filed a missing person report at police station Kulgam, South Kashmir. The family has repeatedly appealed their son to come back home and also requested that if anybody has any information about Umais, they may contact the family on 7780947926, 9419005583. This is not for the first time an incident like this has happened in Jammu & Kashmir. Various reports suggest that thousands of such youth are currently missing in the valley. Some are even said to have joined militancy. The youth was identified as Amir Siraj and was the third who went missing in less than a fortnight in the Valley. As per reports, Amir went missing from his uncle's home in Adipora in Sopore since July 24 evening. In a similar incident, another youth of went missing from Central Kashmir district of Ganderbal in June itself. The youth was missing from 10 days when the incident was reported. The family of the youth sought help from local administration and public to trace their child. In June only, a PhD scholar also went missing during trekking in Ganbal in Ganderbal district. Later, Police had claimed that the missing youth had joined militancy, though his family members denied made by the Police.
