Investigation Suggests Bulli Bai App Convicts Involved In ‘Sulli Deals’ Also: Mumbai Police

Mumbai police stated that preliminary investigation has revealed that Vishal Kumar Jha created Sulli deals app with help of Bulli Bai app creator, Niraj Bishnoi, who was arrested by Delhi Police.

New Delhi: Investigations have suggested that people accused in the ‘Bulli Bai’ app case were also involved in the ‘Sulli Deals’ app case, said the Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police while opposing the bail pleas of three arrested accused in the ‘Bulli Bai’ app case.

The Cyber Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch filed a reply before a city court in Mumbai while opposing the bail pleas of the three arrested accused in the Bulli Bai app case, Vishal Kumar Jha, Shweta Singh and Mayank Rawat. In its reply the Mumbai police stated that the preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused committed the crime with help of Bulli Bai app creator, Niraj Bishnoi, who was arrested by the Delhi Police.

The Court has posted the matter for further hearing today.

The police, in its argument against granting bail to the three accused, said that the accused “could flee or tamper with evidence in the case.”

Bail application of Bishnoi and Thakur was earlier rejected by the Delhi High Court.

The Delhi Police Special Cell’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit (IFSO) had apprehended Bishnoi, a 20 year-old BTech student, from Assam for his alleged involvement in the Bulli Bai app case.

Co-accused in the Bulli Bai app case, Shweta Singh and Mayank Rawat were sent to 14-day judicial custody by a Bandra Court till January 28. Earlier the two accused were sent to Mumbai Cyber Police custody till January 14. Both the accused were arrested from Uttarakhand on January 5.

Meanwhile Vishal Kumar Jha has been sent to judicial custody till January 24.
