IAF attack on PoK: The Pakistan Army alleged that the Indian Air Force violated the Line of Control (LoC) in Muzafarabad sector.

IAF attack on PoK: Pakistan claimed that Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and returned after the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) scrambled warplanes on Tuesday. The Pakistan Army alleged that the Indian Air Force violated the Line of Control (LoC) in Muzafarabad sector. Following the attack, the Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has summoned an emergency meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan. The meeting will discuss the security situation, ANI quoted Radio Pakistan. India is believed to have carried out the much-awaited retaliation for the Pulwama suicide bomb through air strikes inside Pakistan that took place in the wee hours of Tuesday when 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control and hit several terror camps, sources said. The strikes involving several fighter jets of the Indian Air Force successfully destroyed camps belonging to Pakistan-based terror outfits in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as per the report. Here's how Pakistani media reacted to the attack: Leading publication of Pakistan, The Dawn, reported "No response from New Delhi on the violation. ISPR says Pakistani forces responded effectively. Payload dropped at Balakot. No casualties." The daily quoted Maj-Gen Ghafoor's tweet saying, "Indian Air Force violated Line of Control", following which "Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled" and Indian aircraft went back. It further shared the images released by Pakistan Army of Indian Air Force payload near Balakot as shared by Pak Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor.
