CTET 2018: CBSE begins online application on ctet.nic.in; Check syllabus, exam pattern

CTET 2018 Exam Pattern

• There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) questions, in which the candidates will be provided with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. • Paper 1 will be for an aspirant who wishes to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5. • Paper 2 will be for a candidate who wishes to be a teacher for classes 6 to 8. — Paper I exam time: 2 pm to 4:30 pm — Paper II exam time: 9:30 am to 12 pm

CTET 2018 Syllabus

• Paper 1: This exam will consist of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 (compulsory), Language 2 (compulsory, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. • Paper 2: This exam will test the candidate on the basis of his/her knowledge of Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory), Language 1 (compulsory), Language 2 (compulsory), Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher ) and Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher).

CTET 2018 exam language

CTET examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Garo, Gujarati, Kanada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan and Urdu.

About CTET

• Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination will be conducted to appoint eligible candidates for the posts of teachers for Class I to VIII. • The examination will be conducted in and around 92 cities across the country and scores shall be applied to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
