Omicron variant has entered India, the total tally of cases reaches four after another man tests positive in Maharashtra's Kalyan-Dombivli.
According to the State Health Department, the 33-year-old man from Kalyan Dombivli municipal area near Mumbai had arrived at the Delhi airport from South Africa via Dubai before flying to Mumbai.
The man had arrived in Delhi on November 24 via Cape Town and had given his samples for COVID-19 testing at the Delhi airport. He had then taken a flight to Mumbai, official sources close to news agency PTI said in Delhi.
Cyclonic storm “Jawad”, which was expected to make landfall on Saturday noon, is likely to weaken into a deep depression before making landfall near Puri in Odisha on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department informed.

Jammu and Kashmir | Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were arrested in a joint operation by police and security forces in Shopian and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from their possession, an official release said.
