‘Bakwaas Bolne Aate Hain’: Tejashwi On Shah’s Claim That Bihar Caste Survey Inflated Muslim, Yadav Population
Shah criticised the Bihar government claiming that as part of its "appeasement politics," the government purposefully included an exaggerated number of Muslims and Yadavs in the state's caste census.
After Amit Shah's "appeasement politics" jibe at Bihar government over caste survey, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday challenged Union Home Minister to conduct the caste census in the country and in all the BJP-ruled states, news agency ANI reported. Speaking with media, Deputy CM stated: "I heard Amit Shah's statement. He said that in the caste-based survey, the population of Yadavs and Muslims has increased and the population of other communities has decreased. I want to say that if (the survey) is wrong then conduct a caste census across the country, who has stopped you? Why aren't you doing that?"

Addressing the media, JD(U) chief Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh said: "Today, Amit Shah said that BJP was part of the government that took the decision of caste census. But, he should have also said that it was his government at the Centre that rejected the proposal of a countrywide caste census and hindered the caste survey in Bihar by filing petitions in Patna High Court and the Supreme Court."

Earlier today, Shah criticised the Nitish Kumar administration of Bihar, claiming that as part of its "appeasement politics," the government purposefully included an exaggerated number of Muslims and Yadavs in the state's caste census. Union Home Minister stated during a rally in Muzaffarpur district that the state's caste survey was decided upon while Nitish Kumar's JD(U) was a part of the NDA.
JD(U) broke with the BJP last year and joined the Mahagathbandhan coalition, which is made up of the Left, RJD, and Congress.
Shah attacked the opposition I.N.D.I.A coalition, claiming that its sole goal is to undermine Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both JD(U) and RJD are important members of this alliance.
“Nitish Kumar should stop dreaming about becoming the next PM. The INDIA alliance did not even make him its convener,” he was quoted by PTI in its report.
Shah gave off the impression that the BJP will win every one of Bihar's 40 Lok Sabha seats in the next election.
Slamming Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said that the JD(U) leader was to blame for Bihar's "Gundaraaj."
