Gmail crashes in India, parts of Europe, user report ‘Error 404’ on Google email; Here's company's response
Various users across the globe reported ‘404 Error’ while trying to open the site. However, other Google services such as YouTube, Google News etc among others were not affected.
New Delhi: Google's most popular Gmail service was reportedly down for some users in India and various parts of Europe. The same is being described as a digital "apocalypse" by users. Various users across the globe reported ‘404 Error’ while trying to open the site. However, other Google services such as YouTube, Google News etc among others were not affected.
As per the report, outage tracker Down Detector started logging thousands of reports at about 11am UK time on Tuesday morning. Users took to Twitter to report the error and said they could not receive messages. While vast majority of users complained about log-in issues and some reported difficulty in accessing the Gmail website.

However, Google's service status page lists no issues with Gmail. In response to one Twitter user's complaint, Google said that there were "no disruptions" with the service and insisted that the user trying clearing their browser cache and cookies. Google's response read: "Hi there. Currently, there are no disruptions. Could you try clearing the browser cache and cookies to see if that helps."What is happening with #Gmail !?
