Eknath Shinde Changes Twitter Profile Image To One With Bal Thackeray

Eknath Shinde has also spoken of carrying forward the legacy of Bal Thackeray by calling himself a true Shiv Sainik.

New Delhi: Soon after taking oath as new Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the presence of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Mumbai's Raj Bhawan, Shiv Sena rebel group leader Eknath Shinde changed his Twitter DP in which he can be seen with late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. Through this act, Shinde has tried to send a hard-hitting message to Uddhav Thackeray and his ministers. Instead of mentioning Chief Minister in his profile, Shinde has written himself as Shiv Sena Leader, Minister Maharashtra State and MLA Kopri-Pachpakhadi on his Twitter Bio.

Ever since Shinde left Surat with rebel MLAs from Maharashtra, he has been accusing Uddhav Thackeray of alliance with Congress and NCP that Uddhav compromised with Bal Thackeray's ideas and Hindutva. Shinde said that Bal Thackeray always fought against Congress and NCP, but Uddhav joined hands with them.

Amid the political slugfest that was going on till now in Maharashtra, BJP handed over the command of Maharashtra to Eknath Shinde and now Devendra Fadnavis took over as the deputy CM under the leadership of Shinde.

Writing a new script of 'Hindutva' in Maharashtra, BJP has given a big message to Uddhav Thackeray. Shinde has also spoken of carrying forward the legacy of Bal Thackeray by calling himself a true Shiv Sainik.

Shinde took oath as 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra a day after Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the top post following a Supreme Court order that asked Thackeray-led Shiv Sena to take a floor test to prove its majority in Maharashtra Assembly.
