Jaggery is considered extremely nutritious for the body. At the same time, it contains fewer calories as compared to sugar. It can also be used in many kitchen hacks because of its natural sweetness. So let us tell you some easy hacks of using jaggery in the kitchen today so that you can make your work easy and your food healthy and tasty. These are kitchen hacks.

Use jaggery instead of sugar in tea.
It may be noted that jaggery contains fewer calories than sugar. People who are conscious of their weight can use jaggery instead of the sugar-free found in the market. At the same time, diabetics can also use jaggery instead of sugar or sugar-free. It can be easily added to the tea and also makes the tea tasty and healthy.  

You can use jaggery in vegetables to reduce the spicy taste.
There is no need to worry if you have added extra chilies while cooking vegetables. You can add jaggery to the spicy vegetable. Grate the jaggery and then add it to the vegetables so that it melts easily and reduces the spice of the vegetable. It will also give a great flavour. However, make sure that you do not add too much jaggery to the vegetable.

You can use jaggery in rasam and sambar.
It may be noted that the use of jaggery in sambar and rasam enhances its taste manifolds. Tamarind is added in both these south Indian dishes. Jaggery and tamarind when used together make the food delicious. Keep in mind to use half a teaspoon of jaggery with tamarind water to make sambar. This will further enhance the flavour of this dish.

Use jaggery in tomato gravy.
It may be noted that tomato is acidic in nature. Hence excessive consumption of tomatoes can cause stomach irritation and acidity. So, if you are making tomato gravy and adding it to a vegetable, add a little jaggery along with it. This will make the vegetable tasty and healthy.
