The Verdict: [Fake]
- The video has been digitally manipulated and Elon Musk has not launched any such platform.
What is the claim?
A video is being shared on Facebook with a claim that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has launched an investment platform called ‘Quantum AI.’ The 23-second video shows Musk supposedly saying, “I am opening up access to my Quantum AI platform to all Canadian residents.” He goes on to say that the platform gives them a chance to earn a better living, by guaranteeing an earning of a million dollars in six months.
However, we found that the video is a deepfake.
What we found
Using reverse image search, we found a 2:28-minute long video of an interview of Musk uploaded on CNBC’s YouTube channel. The interview was hosted by CNBC’s David Faber. We noticed that the background of this video is the same as that of the viral one.
While the full video of the interview is behind a paywall on the CNBC website, we found a version of it uploaded to a YouTube channel called ‘Jail Busters.’ Faber and Musk discuss various aspects of AI in the hour-long interview, but there is no mention of a 'Quantum AI platform.' This is also confirmed by a transcript of the interview on CNBC's website.
Further, there are no credible news reports on Musk launching any ‘Quantum AI’ platform.

In the past, deepfake videos of several celebrities have been shared to claim that they are promoting ‘Quantum AI.’ Logically Facts has previously debunked similar videos of Musk and Infosys Founder Narayan Murthy.
The verdict
We have marked the claim as fake as the video has been manipulated and the original video doesn’t show Musk promoting the ‘Quantum AI’ platform.
