The Kapil Sharma Show: Krushna Abhishek Reveals Why He Ditched The Episode Featuring Govinda As Celebrity Guest

Recently, 'The Kapil Sharma Show' witnessed Govinda as its special celebrity guest and Krushna decided to ditch the episode. Read on to know the reason.

New Delhi: Govinda and Krushna Abhishek is one of the most famous mama-bhanja pairs of the tinsel town. Over the past few years, there have been some trouble brewing up between the two. Reportedly, the trouble started developing after Chi Chi’s wife Sunita took offense over one of Kashmera Shah’s tweet about ‘people dancing for money’. Sunita thought that the tweet was meant for Govinda and the family decided to cut off ties with Krushna and his wife Kashmera.

Krushna Abhishek is a vital part of the most popular comedy show on Television, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. This show is considered as one of the best platforms for promotion in the business. Recently, the show witnessed Govinda as its special celebrity guest and Krushna decided to ditch the episode.

Speaking to TOI, Krushna revealed how in one of last year’s episode featuring Govinda, Sunita and their daughter Tina Ahuja, he was missing as Sunita did not want to share the stage with him. Krushna also revealed why he opted out this time. He told the publication, “I learnt about Chi Chi mama coming on the show around 10 days ago. Since Sunita mami wasn’t accompanying him, the team thought that I would have no qualms performing. However, the incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. Last year, she didn’t want me to perform in front of them, but this time, I had reservations.”

“I had a strong relationship with mama, and the enmity has affected me badly. When the relationship between two people is strained, it’s difficult to perform comedy. Besides, mama might take offence to my jokes. Achhi comedy ke liye set ka mahaul achha hona chahiye. I can vouch that it would have been like a house on fire even if I had performed as Krushna and not Sapna (the character he portrays on the show) with mama. I could have paid tribute to him on the show”, added Krushna.

He further shed light on the fact that when his twins were in the hospital, Govinda did not come to meet them even when one of them was fighting for life. Krushna Abhishek was quoted saying by the publication, “They didn’t even come to see my twins in the hospital, not even when one of them was fighting for his life. I did call him, but there was no response. How long can I keep trying to resolve our issues, which is based on a silly misunderstanding! Of course, it hurts, but if he doesn’t want to see me, I, too, don’t want to meet him. Ab toh sirf Kapil hi issues resolve kar sakta hai hamaare beech ke. Jab mama agli baar aaye toh mujhe bula le stage par aur sab ke saamne sulah karne bole. However, we don’t repeat celebrities so easily. So, I guess this might happen only in 2021.”

There has no comment from Govinda on this matter yet.
