Colors TV’s ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ is one of the most loved shows on the small screen. The social drama starring Rubina Dilaik and Vivian Dsena in the respective roles of Saumya and Harman is churning out some drama-packed episodes as of late. The popular daily soap has bagged the number eight spot in the latest set of BARC TRP ratings. The show will soon bid adieu to one of its most loved characters- Surbhi. Roshni Sahota who plays Saumya’s sister Surbhi, has put down her papers and is currently shooting for her wrap-up. Roshni, who impressed the viewers with her fine performance in the show, has quit the show. The actress played the parallel lead in the show and her on-screen character stood thick and thin for Saumya (Rubina). (Roshni as Surbhi in Shakti) Roshni confirmed the development in an exclusive talk with Filmy Monkey. ‘Shakti is amazing and I have been part of the show for two long years. I don’t want to get monotonous in my life and therefore I took the decision of leaving the show. The show gave me a lot of popularity and the entire journey has been beautiful.’’ We asked the beautiful actress when the fans can see her back on the small screen. She said, ‘’Very soon, they will see me in a new show. In between, I also want to do regional films as I had to miss out some films owning to Shakti’s shooting.’’ For the uninitiated, Surbhi was seen in Punajbi films like ‘The Great Sardaar’ and ‘Kuknoos’. We also asked Surbhi whom she is going to miss the most on the sets. ‘’I am good friends with all the actors. Whenever we miss each other, we go and meet them. From work point of view, I am definitely going to miss Rubina and Ayub sir (Ayub Khan) as I share a close bond with them. I am going to catch up with them whenever I will miss them,’’ Roshni said. We wish Roshni all the luck in her future projects. The current track of Shakti is focusing on the pregnancy drama where nani wants Harman and Saumya to start their own family. Veeran (Bhuvan Chopra) and Varun (Lakshya Handa) attacked Saumya and Harman in the recent episode of the popular show. This is not the first time that an actor has quit the show. Garima Jain, who used to play the role of Harman’s sister Raavi, left the show in March. She was replace by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ actress Pooja Singh. Watch this space for more updates!
