'Rising Star 2' GRAND FINALE: Hemant Brijwasi announced as the WINNER of the show!
The second season of top-rated LIVE singing reality show Rising Star's Grand Finale got over last nights (16th April) and India has chosen the Winner of LIVE voting based show with their votes. The four contestants namely Hemant Brijwasi, Zaid Ali, Rohanpreet Singh and Vishnumaya Mahesh were fighting for the winner's trophy in the finale. The show has finally found its winner & it's none other than 'Suron Ka BigB' aka Hemant Brijwasi.
Apart from walking away with the trophy, Hemant also won a cash prize of Rs. 20 lakh. Rohapreet becomes the runner-up whereas Vishnumaya emerged as the second runner-up. The show's grand finale was a grand affair & the judges Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur & Diljit Dosanjh also gave some entertaining performances. First, Shankar Mahadevan performed on the stage & sung popular songs like 'Zinda' from 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' & 'Rock On'. Next, Monali Thakur came on stage & mesmerised the viewers with her song 'Sawaar Loon' from 'Lootera'. She even teased the viewers with a glimpse of her first single. After them, Punjabi sensation Diljit came & rocked the stage with his hit songs like 'Do You Know', 'Proper Patola', '5 Taara' among others. 'Rising Star 2' has been one of the most popular reality shows which fetched great TRPs too. As the same is now over, the second season of comedy show 'Entertainment Ki Raat'.
