CONGRATS! Puja Banerjee & Kunal Verma BLESSED With Baby Boy

Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma became parents of a baby boy on October 9.

New Delhi: It's time to send congratulatory messages to popular TV couple Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma as they have become parents of a baby boy. Puja gave birth to their first child on Friday (October 9) in Mumbai.  Kunal, while talking to a leading daily, revealed that both Puja and their newborn son are doing fine. He thanked the almighty for his blessings after becoming a father. The 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev' actress and her husband Kunal got hitched in a court marriage earlier this year. The couple kept their wedding as a secret for 45 days. Kunal, who was last seen in Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin starrer 'Dil Se Dil Tak', said that he was present in the operation theatre while Puja delivered their child. "Puja and I are proud and extremely happy to share that we are parents of a lovely baby boy today. I was with Puja in the operation theatre, while she delivered our baby. Both Puja and the baby are doing fine and I am extremely thankful to God for his blessings," Kunal told Times Of India.

Puja had earlier said in an interview that she would get married to Kunal in a traditional wedding after the arrival of their child. They had decided to tie the knot on April 15, 2020; however, they had to cancel the plans due to COVID-19 crisis. The couple fell in love in the sets of ‘Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna’ in 2008. Puja, who is fondly known for playing the role of Goddess Parvati, enjoyed a fun-filled baby shower last month. The actress' friends gave her a special surprise and flaunted their 'fake bellies' while posing for the camera. She penned a heartfelt post on social media, which read: "I can't express my feelings in words as I am overwhelmed with all the love each and everyone showered yesterday for my 1st baby shower."

On the professional front, Puja was last seen in Star Bharat's 'Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi — Kahani Mata Rani Ki'. We extend our heartiest congratulations to the new parents in town.
