New Delhi: Sunny Deol was believed to be in 'Border 2', but the actor has since stated that he has not signed on for any new projects. Currently, he is enjoying the success of 'Gadar 2', which is anticipated to surpass 350 crore nett in India. Sunny did add that he would be making a major announcement very soon.

On Saturday, Sunny posted a message to Instagram Stories in response to bogus news rumours regarding Border 2 that had appeared online. The actor wrote, "Some news has been circulating of me signing a few films, I would like to inform that currently I am only concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving all your love. I have not signed any film and would be announcing something special soon at the right time. Till then keep showering your love on Tara Singh and Gadar2."

A source was reported as stating, "Being a heavy-on-action film, the team will be casting actors from the younger generation rather than bringing together the entire troop of Border," in a Pinkvilla article dated Saturday. The only actor from Border who will also appear in Border 2 is possibly Sunny Deol. More information will be provided once the movie is formally announced, which is expected to happen very shortly.

The insider added that a formal announcement will be made in a fortnight and that the movie has been in the development stages for between two and three years. It was claimed to be set during the Indo-Pak War of 1971.

Sunny had declared, "I promise all my fans that I'm only going to make good films like these," at the recent success press conference for Gadar 2. According to rumours, Sunny is currently working on the flicks Baap and Soorya.

'Gadar 2', starring Sunny Deol, now rules the box office in India and other nations. It currently has a value of 236 crore and is anticipated to eventually surpass 400 crore. The movie is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Ameesh Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Rakesh Bedi, and others.
