Congress Releases 5th List For Delhi Elections, Fields Lokendra Chaudhary From Timarpur

The Congress has decided to field Lokendra Chaudhary from Timarpur constituency, while Suresh Wati Chauhan will be contesting from Rohtas Nagar seat.

The Congress on Thursday released its fifth list for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

As per the details shared by the party on X (Formerly Twitter), the Congress has decided to field Lokendra Chaudhary from Timarpur constituency, while Suresh Wati Chauhan will be contesting from Rohtas Nagar seat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also released its fourth list for the state assembly elections.

As per the details, Ravinder Kumar (Indraj) will contest from Delhi's Bawana (SC) seat, while Poonam Sharma will contest from Wazirpur.

Bhuvan Tanwar was chosen to represent BJP from Delhi Cantt and Shikha Rai from Greater Kailash.

Earlier, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to field Surender Pal Singh from Timarpur constituency, while the BJP chose Surya Prakash Khatri for this seat. From Rohtas Nagar seat, AAP's candidate Sarita Singh will take on BJP's Jitender Mahajan.

Congress, in its fourth list named candidates for the five constituencies. According to their list,  Sumesh Gupta was chosen to represent from Rohini, while Virender Bidhuri is fielded from Tughlakabad. From the reserved seat (SC) of Karol Bagh and Bawana, Rahul Dhanak and Surender Kumar respectively were decided to contest. Arjun Bhadana will take on the rivals from Badarpur constituency.

On Wednesday, the AAP released a new list of candidates, revising the nominees from Narela and Hari Nagar weeks ahead of the February polls. Sharad Chauhan was fielded from Narela and Surinder Setia from Hari Nagar.

Delhi goes to polls on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8. The AAP, which won 62 of the 70 seats in Delhi in the 2020 elections, is eyeing a third consecutive full term.
