Vijay Antony's Wife Fatima Shares First Post After Daughter Meera's Death: 'Drowning And Dying With Your Thoughts'

New Delhi: Tamil actor-music composer Vijay Antony’s 16-year-old daughter died by suicide on September 19. The actor’s wife Fatima on Monday (October 9) shared a heartbreaking note remembering her daughter on X. She posted a picture of Meera along with the post.
Fatima wrote, "If I’d known u will live only for 16 yrs, I would have just kept u very very close to me, not even shown you to the sun and moon, am drowning and dying with ur thoughts, can’t live without you, come back to babba and amma. laara keeps waiting for u, love u Thangam @vijayantony.”

According to police, the 16-year-old was found hanging in her Teynampet residence at 3 AM and was rushed to a city hospital where she was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctors. The victim was studying in Class 12 at a private school.
Soon after he death, Vijay took to social media to share a statement on the tragic news.
The statement read, “All you kind-hearted, My daughter Meera is very loving and brave. She has now gone to a better and more peaceful place devoid of caste, religion, money, envy, pain, poverty, and vengeance. She is still conversing with me. I have died along with her. I have started spending time with her now. Whatever good deeds that I will be doing henceforth on behalf of her, will be initiated by her.”

Soon after her demise, many celebrities took to social media to pay condolences.
She is survived by her father, mother Fatima, and her sister.
