While the teaser was not made available on any official online platforms, a social media user managed to capture and post a clip from the theatre on X (formerly known as Twitter). This leak has given fans an early glimpse into the sequel's thrills and chills.

The leaked teaser showcases Rajkummar Rao alongside familiar faces—Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee—as they confront the ghostly menace once again in the same eerie village. The clip opens with the phrase "The legend is back" and Rajkummar's character exclaiming, “Yeh toh aa gai sach mein” (She’s really back). 

The teaser promises a mix of high-energy moments, vibrant music, and a touch of horror. Shraddha Kapoor is seen in dual avatars. There is also a scene of Rajkummar facing the ghost with his signature charm, pleading "please." 

Tamannaah Bhatia's special appearance 

A notable highlight of the teaser is a hint of Tamannaah Bhatia making a special appearance in a dance sequence. Whether she has a substantial role or just a cameo remains unclear, adding another layer of intrigue to the film. 

Stree 2 release date

Meanwhile the makers on Friday announced the release date of the film. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is slated to release on August 15. They shared a short, spooky video on social media, featuring 'Stree' written in red Hindi font. The post is captioned: "Fir se! #Stree2 in cinemas this Independence Day, August 15, 2024. Catch the #Stree2 Teaser exclusively in cinemas with #Munjya from today." This film marks the return of the successful "Stree" franchise. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Varun Dhawan (in a cameo as 'Bhediya'), with a special appearance by Tamannaah Bhatia.
