Shilpa Shetty Shares First Post After Husband Raj Kundra's Arrest In Alleged Pornography Case

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra’s arrest for his alleged involvement in the production and circulation of pornographic content has set several tongues wagging. A magistrate court in Mumbai sent the businessman to police custody till July 23. According to police officers, the 45-year-old earned in lakhs and his business grew during the COVID-19 lockdown. 

Shilpa Shetty, who has maintained a silence over the matter, shared a post on her Instagram story on Thursday (July 22) night. The ‘Dhadkan’ actress posted a quote from James Thurber’s book, which she seems to be reading. 

“Do not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness,” a portion of the quote read. Check out her post! 

While the Mumbai Police is yet to find ‘any active role’ of Shetty in the adult films racket case, sources suggest that she might be summoned by the cops to record her statement. The officials are busy investigating the high-profile case, which has become the talk of the town.

"We have not been able to any find any active role of Shilpa Shetty yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we'll take appropriate action," Joint commissioner of Mumbai Police (Crime) Milind Bharambe was quoted as saying by ANI.

Shilpa Shetty's Upcoming Films

On the professional front, Shilpa will entertain the audience with 'Hungama 2'. The comedy drama, which also stars Paresh Rawal and Meezan Jaaferi, will premiere on July 23 on Disney+Hotstar. The movie has been directed by Priyadarshan.

'Hungama 2' marks Shilpa Shetty's return to films after 14 years as her last release 'Life In A Metro' hit the silver screens in 2007. The 45-year-old actress also has 'Nikkama 2' in her kitty.

Shilpa skipped shooting for her dance reality show 'Super Dancer Chapter 4' following her husband's arrest. Karisma Kapoor replaced Shetty as a special guest for this week's episode. Speculations are rife that the makers of the show have decided to replace her with Shilpa. However, the producers and the channel are yet to make any official announcement.
