Shah Rukh Khan Charged THIS Much For Pathaan

SRK's acting fee is on the lower end because of a profit-sharing deal with the producers of 'Pathaan'.

New Delhi: As advance bookings for 'Pathaan' begin, the excitement around the film has reached another level. Fans and audiences have been waiting for Shah Rukh Khan's return to screens since his last film 'Zero' bombed at the box office in 2018. A lot of anticipation is riding high on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Paudkone starrer considering the film is the first big release of 2023. And, as per early trends of advance booking, the response is great and better than expected.

While SRK is playing the role of an action hero in the film, John Abraham will be essaying the role of a negative character and Deepika Padukone will be the lead heroine.

Many fans have been wanting to know SRK's fee for the Siddharth Anand film. Earlier in January, when  Shah Rukh Khan had started an #AskSRK session on Twitter, a fan had asked the megastar's fee for 'Pathaan'.

SRK had then jokingly asked if he was being signed for another film and thus the question was posed.

However, as per an India Today report, Shah Rukh Khan charged Rs. 35-40 crores for the film. SRK's acting fee is on the lower end because of a profit-sharing deal with the producers of the film. This model has been adopted by many such A-listers like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan where they charge a low signing fee and if the film works, take a share in the profit of that film.

'Pathaan' is being filmed on a budget of Rs. 250 crores.

As per trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, "As you read this, #YRF commences advance bookings of #Pathaan at #IMAX [6 locations] and #4DX [1 location] in #Mumbai and #IMAX [4 locations] in #Delhi… And the response is T-E-R-R-I-F-I-C."
