‘RRR’ Makers Lock Two Release Dates In 2022, Know In Details

New Delhi: S.S. Rajamouli’s much-awaited movie ‘RRR’ have been making the headlines ever since the film has been announced. The movie which was slated to release in theatres on January 7, 2022, got delayed due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the makers to finalise the release date of ‘RRR’ starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. The makers have now finally revealed the release date of this much-anticipated upcoming movie and have locked 2 release dates for ‘RRR’.

The team of ‘RRR’ shared a statement and revealed that if the COVID-19 cases in the country continue to surge, then they will release ‘RRR’ on April 28, 2022, otherwise they are ready to release the movie on March 18, 2022, which will clash with Akshay Kumar-Kriti Sanon’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’.

The makers of ‘RRR’ said in a statement, “If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release the film on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, RRR Movie will release on 28th April 2022”.

S.S. Rajamouli's 'RRR' features Jr NTR and Ram Charan playing the lead roles. The movie also marks Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt's debut in the Telugu film industry. Other than this stellar cast, 'RRR' will also feature Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Sharan playing supporting roles. 

'RRR' will illustrate the fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. Ram Charan will portray the role of Sitarama Raju and Jr NTR will bring to screens the character of Komaram Bheem.
