Parineeti Chopra And Raghav Chadha Feel 'Overwhelmed' With All The Love Received, Actor Shares Gratification Post

New Delhi: Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha got engaged in the presence of close friends and family in an intimate ceremony on Saturday. The couple later took to their social media handles to share love-struck pictures of themselves from the engagement ceremony, flaunting their rings. The engagement took place in a lavish ceremony at Kapurthala House, Connaught Place, Delhi.

On Monday, Parineeti shared a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for all the love and blessings that people have been showering on the couple, all set to embark on a new journey. Expressing how "overwhelmed" she and Raghav have been, Parineeti's note reads as, "Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the abundance of love and positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. 

We both come from different worlds and it's amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined. We are so touched by everything we have read/seen and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us."

She concluded the note with thanking the media and wrote, "A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us.

Some political guests from Raghav Chadha's side and celebrities from the entertainment industry also joined the celebration. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Punjab counterpart, Bhagwant Mann, designer Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, and Sania Mirza were all seen at the grand engagement.

While Parineeti was dressed in a Manish Malhotra ensemble, Raghav had chosen a minimalist achkan designed by fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. Their engagement theme was pastel-coloured and both Raghav and Parineeti had worn outfits that complimented their theme. 

Sharing pictures from the engagement ceremony, Parineeti wrote, "Everything I prayed for .. I said yes! 💍
