Pankaj Tripathi Replaces Paresh Rawal In Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God’ Sequel

Mumbai: The makers of the 2012 superhit film 'Oh My God' is all set to bring the sequel of the movie to the audience. Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal were seen portraying the lead roles in 'Oh My God'. Mithun Chakraborty also played a pivotal role in the movie. The movie proved to be successful and now, the makers are all set to make the sequel of ‘Oh My God’. The shooting of the film was supposed to be held in May-June 2021. But due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting has been pushed forward.
The shooting of 'Oh My God 2' will now start in September 2021. After the success of the first film, it is a big responsibility for the makers to make its sequel. The makers want to make it as soon as possible after things get better after the lockdown ends.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in his old avatar
According to a report of PinkVilla, Akshay Kumar will be seen reprising his role in the sequel of ‘Oh My God’, where he played the role of ‘Krishna’. However, reportedly, Paresh Rawal will not be seen in a lead role in the sequel of the movie as he is being replaced by Pankaj Tripathi. ‘Oh My God’ was directed by Umesh Shukla. The sequel of the film will also be directed by him.
‘Oh My God’ is the official remake of the 2001 Australian film ‘The Man Who Sued God’. This satirical comedy-drama revolved around the life of an atheist portrayed by Paresh Rawal, who makes fun of religious activities and decides to sue God.
Meanwhile, other than ‘Oh My God 2’, Akshay Kumar will also be seen starring in ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘BellBottom’, ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Prithiviraj’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
