Kartik has remained in headlines following his ouster from Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’. KJo’s production house issued a statement in April 2021 to confirm Aaryan’s exit from the upcoming film. Gossip mills suggest that Karan has vowed to never work with the B-town heartthrob due to his ‘unprofessionalism’.

Speculations were also rife that Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies and Aanand L Rai have also dropped the ‘Luka Chuppi’ star from their respective films. The rumour spread like wildfire on the internet and set several tongues wagging.

An official from Aanand’s production house refuted the rumour while talking to ABP News. “These are baseless rumours. We met Kartik for another film. We have offered another film to Ayushmann Khurrana. This is a case of a complete mix-up,” a spokesperson at Colour Yellow Productions said.

Kartik, who was supposed to romance Janhvi Kapoor in ‘Dostana 2’. has refrained from reacting on the matter. He has maintained a dignified silence over the controversy surrounding his films.

On the professional front, Kartik will be next seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and ‘Dhamaka’. He will be seen sharing screen-space with Tabu and Kiara Advani in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which is slated to release on November 19, 2021.
