Karnataka Police registered the case against the 'Panga' actress in Tumakuru district on Monday (October 12) based on the order by a local court, which had directed the inspector of Kyathasandra police station to register an FIR against her. Lawyer L Ramesh Naik, who had filed the complaint against Kangana, contended that her tweet on September 21 had hurt him.
"People who spread misinformation and rumours about CAA that caused riots are the same people who are now spreading misinformation about farmers bill and causing terror in the nation, they are terrorists. You very well know what I said but simply like to spread misinformation," Kangana's tweet read.
Kangana had denied addressing the farmers as 'terrorist' in another tweet. The 'Queen' star said that she would apologize and quit Twitter if it is proved that her tweet was targeted at the farmers.
Kangana Ranaut has been hogging all the limelight since the past two months. Her tussle with Shiv Sena and its leader Sanjay Raut grabbed all headlines in September 2020. The 'Manikarnika' actress arrived in Mumbai on September 9 amid protests from Shiv Sena activists at the airport. She was provided Y-plus security after her parents requested the State government to grant her security following her spat with Sanjay Raut.

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in 'Thalaivi'.
